Its that time of the year for heat and pop up thunder storms. It was raining here yesterday and the sun was out at the same time. Growing up I was told when that happened that the devil was beating his wife. How funny is that old saying????? And even more funny is that every time that happens, I think of that old saying. Here are a few more funny old sayings I have heard from the stormy weather. When it is thundering-that is God moving around his furniture. When it is lightening- that is God turning on and off his lamp. Funny sayings we have heard all our life and they stick with us like the Oscar mayer weiner commercial. On a more serious note, this afternoon after another thunder storm, there was a beautiful rainbow in the sky. I can't recall any funny old sayings about that. But I know God did put that there. What a beautiful reminder that he is still watching over us........

I can think of one for the rainbow ... the pot of gold.
All I know is how beautiful those colors are when the sunlight bounces off the rainbow ... breathtaking.
Yes the pot of gold thing I remembered too, but that is serious business there...lol...I also love the song Somewhere over the rainbow..
