My Fermosa Tree

This is my Favorite tree. It has special meaning to me. At my parents house they had several of these trees in their yard. Me and my Mom would sit out on the porch and watch the humming birds and butterflies all enjoy the tree. My Mom knew how much I loved these trees so she cut me a little volunteer tree and gave it to me. I planted it and now I have my own to enjoy. My Parents have both passed away but I still have my tree. I look at it and think of them.
It is amazing to watch all the butterflies on the tree. Now I enjoy the smells and sites of the tree with my family and sense my Mom and Dad are right here with us enjoying too.

The Dark Knight (review)

Me and my Son went to see the movie "The Dark Knight. We were both real excited about seeing it and it lived up to what we expected and more. This was a great movie. I will not go into details about it because I do not want to spoil it for the ones who have not seen it yet. I will say it is worth going to see. Heath Ledger did a great job as the Joker. It is so sad he is not here to enjoy all the great reviews he will get. Christian Bale also did a great job. He is my favorite actor to play Batman. He looks so handsome as Bruce Wayne and real tough as Batman. It has all the action you could wish for and some surprises you are not expecting. This definitely a Summer Movie you should go out and see.

Summer

I'm not a big fan of the Summer time, the heat and humidity is just too much for me. I like to go outside but I just can't take the heat. I find myself daydreaming alot about the Fall time of the year. I spend as much time as possible outside in the Fall. Anyway back to Summer. I know you should not be wishing your life away, you need to enjoy each moment of today. So... I decided to list some of the things I do like about Summer and make the best of it.
1. Staying Light longer--- I like when I get home from work that it is not dark right away.
2. Fresh vegetables- I love the corn, cucumbers, squash and tomatos. One of my favorite things to eat is a tomato sandwich with a glass of Southern tea. Yummy!!!!
3. I love grilled out food period- My husband will grill out other times of the year, but we do more grilling in the Summer. He can make the best steaks and hamburgers!!!!! They do seem to taste a little better in the Summer.
4. Sandals and Flip Flops- I love shoes, but Summer shoes are my favorite. They have them in so many pretty colors. You can get a shoe to match any outfit you wear...
5. Fourth of July- How could you not like the beautiful fireworks?
6. Vacation time- I usually like to take a few days off for fun and relaxation. Its nice to have that time away from the daily routine.
Summer can be nice too.............

My review of - Losing it - by Valerie Bertinelli

I just finished reading Losing it by Valerie Bertinelli. I have always liked Valerie and she seems like a down to earth person. I have always thought she would be a super sister to have. After reading her book I'm convinced that I'm right. I really enjoyed her book. She was brutality honest about herself and others in her life. That is something hard for anyone to do. We all like to keep all our fears and just general life experiences hidden in the closet. Her book takes you from her youth until adult hood and all the struggles she has went through. I applaud her for having the guts to lay it out for all to see and hopefully learn from. I do not know if I would have that same courage. I think she is a super Lady. She has a great love for her family and especially her son. Good luck to Valerie and I hope things only get better for her. I would recommend this book as a great summer read.
